Survivors’ guide for mothers experiencing domestic abuse and child removal
AVA Project are a leading UK charity committed to ending gender-based violence and abuse. They strive to improve services for survivors through training, resources and consultancy.
We designed and developed the new Staying Mum webapp helping survivors navigate the complex family court systems whilst they are experiencing domestic abuse and potentially child removal.
A content-heavy app, we needed to find ways to break down this information into easily digestible chunks – across the four different stages women might be at. We tested the designs with women who have been through this process (but are not currently in it) and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
